The SHA is please to announce the 2023 winners of the Ethnographic Prose competition.
This year, first prize is awarded to Margaret Bruchac, for “Don’t Stick Your Head Above the Wheat Field” (Nonfiction Narrative).
Two Honorable Mentions were also awarded to:
- Cory-Alice Andre-Johnson, for “Hunger” (Fiction Narrative)
- Azaria Brown, for “in the days that follow” (Fiction Narrative)
